Today in Focus, The Guardian
Researcher - Producer - Editor
I loved working on The Guardian’s award-winning Today in Focus podcast, which previously won Gold in the Best News and Current Affairs category at the British Podcast Awards. I was expected to get to grips quickly with broad-ranging current affairs topics and co-produce episodes which are told in a narrative, documentary style. My responsibilities included guest booking, writing interview questions, conducting remote recordings, deciding on a narrative structure, scripting, sourcing relevant archival clips and editing/mixing audio together using Reaper/Adobe Audition.
I was the lead producer on an episode about how Giorgia Meloni became Europe’s favourite far-right leader, which you can listen to here
The Bunker, Podmasters
Editor - Mixing and Mastering Engineer
As a podcast editor for Podmasters I edited interviews and mixed together episodes across news and politics podcasts, such as The Bunker. This show aims to cut through the noise to make sense of what’s really going on across current affairs, economics, politics and culture, with smart explainers, interviews, under-reported stories and fresh perspectives. For optimal sound quality, I edited audio using Reaper, alongside Izotope plugins.
Here is an episode I edited about how cleaning is still being sold as a new path to feminist empowerment, and another on whether comic book stories and bad guys can explain the rise of Trump, Musk and Putin
The Mystery of the Missing Louvre Jewels, Audible/Multitrack
Co-Producer - Sound Designer
I was selected as one of twelve participants for Multitrack's Off-Mic Returns programme in partnership with Audible on narrative documentary-making. I co-produced and sound-designed a narrative documentary exploring how fictional detective Sherlock Holmes would have solved the mystery of the Louvre heist. I sourced and interviewed an art theft expert, devised a narrative story structure and cut down lengthy interviews. I performed EQ, compression, de-essing and noise reduction on voice tracks. I also added sound design in Reaper, with feedback on tone, SFX, music and transitions.

What’s News AM, The Wall Street Journal
Editor - Mixing and Mastering Engineer
When working on The Wall Street Journal’s What’s News AM daily news podcast I worked under pressure to meet daily deadlines when fine editing audio using Adobe Audition, and mixing together a fifteen minute programme covering tech, finance and economic news. I wrote scripts using Descript, co-ordinated interviews and sourced/edited sound clips. In addition, I worked on a recurring segment for the What’s News feed - What’s News in Earnings. These were bonus episodes focusing on different business sectors’ earnings. I was responsible for cutting down a two-way interview, and mixing in theme music and soundbites.

The Standard, Message Heard
Researcher - Guest Booker - Producer - Editor - Mixing and Mastering Engineer
I was hired by the production company Message Heard to produce and present The Standard’s daily news podcast. This was a challenging role in an under-resourced newsroom. I was solely responsible for the end-to-end production of a daily news podcast; researching, producing, scripting, presenting, editing, mixing and publishing a fifteen minute weekday show. Initially this was a two part show, which then became focused on a single news topic. I collaborated with The Standard’s editorial staff, as well as external guests, to secure interviews, undertaking recordings remotely via Riverside, as well as in person. My highest performing episodes included an explainer on the Ofgem price cap, which had 31,178 downloads, and Israel’s ‘declaration of war’ which was similarly downloaded more than 30,000 times. I’m most proud of the episodes which focused on issues pertinent to the capital, with insightful external guests and the inclusion of relevant footage and tape to propel the story forward.
Here is an episode I produced, presented and edited about the return of Jamie’s Italian; another about Australia’s social media ban, one about debunking opera, and another about strikes at the British library.

Co-produced episodes of ‘That Money Show’ with Gen Z influencer Gabriel Nussbaum on Britain’s biggest live podcast network. I was responsible for sourcing story ideas, booking guests and editing the podcast.
Whilst working for The Standard I collaborated with third sector organisations such as Comic Relief and The King’s Trust on campaign episodes. I worked collaboratively with the commercial team and my co-producers at Message Heard on a three-part podcast series for The Standard’s Leading the Charge campaign, to reverse the decision to scrap electric vehicle’s exemption from the capital’s congestion charge.

Times Radio, Live Radio Producer
Assistant Producer - Researcher - Guest Booker
When working as an assistant producer for Times Radio I exhibited excellent research skills when working at speed to source and book guests for live programming. I wrote clear, concise and engaging radio scripts, alongside editing audio clips. I co-produced several prime time, fast-paced live radio shows and directed high profile talent. A stand-out moment was being part of the programme team on the day former Prime Minister Boris Johnson resigned, as well as booking senior medic Dr Adrian Boyle on A&E deaths; the interview went on to lead the news agenda and was picked up as The Press Association ‘s main story in the new year.
